Yo dudes 'n dudettes ... I'm going to take a holiday e-break ... if you need me, post on the board ... here's a few snippets just to update ya ...

Ordered some large poinsettias from Lorraine's Florist -in Florence- they totally exceeded my expectations ... amazingly beeeUteefull ... I have two large silver wrapped presents under the tree that are driving Teedster crazy ... just had broiled shrimp stuffed with crab meat from the General Store  -in Columbus- ... yummie x 10! ... will be finishing the advanced back and neck care site, peek for that in a day or two ... I have seen Christmas Vacation another three or four, maybe five times since we last spoke ... okay, I'm off to brew a pot of my newest favorite coffee > Home Cafe Millstone, medium roast, Columbian Supreme ...

Our tree it up! ... the twinkling lights are pretty ...

Speaking of pretty ... Teedster and I picked up the tree on Friday ... we had to wait for the trash truck to pull ahead so we could park our truck ... the trash truck pulled up, we parked ... then we saw the dude standing on the back of the trash truck start fiddling with *it* ... and then ... even though his back was to us, we watched him pee in the truck ... that was pretty nasty ... lol!

I'm on gross people overload ... first there was the juice incident that I didn't tell you about --too gross for words, makes hard core people gag ... then the gal picking thru the trash -Dec 11th's post- ... then the trash man peeing in public ... plus all the snotty sick people in the stores ... that's it! my new year's resolution will be to become germ phobic ... like Howie Mandell ... I wonder where to begin? ... hey! I'll start by getting that spiffy bald du, too!

Gingerbread

For spicier gingerbread add 1/2 teaspoon white pepper . 1/4 teaspoon cloves . and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon with the ginger ... 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour . 1 1/2 tsp baking powder . 1 1/4 tsp ground ginger . 1/2 tsp baking soda . 1/2 tsp salt . 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted . 1/3 cup brown sugar . 1/2 cup buttermilk . 1/3 cup mild molasses . 1 large egg, lightly beaten ... 1. Heat oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Coat a 9-inch (23 cm) square cake pan with cooking spray. Whisk together flour, baking powder, ginger, baking soda and salt ... 2. Stir butter, brown sugar, buttermilk, molasses, 1/4 cup water and egg together until smooth. ... 3. Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture. Pour into pan. Bake until cake springs back when lightly touched, about 45 to 50 minutes. Serve warm or at
room temperature. ...

Hot Apple Eggnog

2 eggs . 3 cups half-and-half . 2 cups milk . 1/3 cup sugar . 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon . dash salt . 3/4 cup applejack or apple brandy . freshly grated nutmeg or additional cinnamon ... beat the eggs with the half-and-half and milk in a large saucepan ... add the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, or until the mixture is hot and thick, stirring constantly ... remove from the heat and add the apple brandy ... pour or ladle into mugs or cups and dust with nutmeg or cinnamon and serve warm ... makes 12 servings.
 

I'm out ... remember to go play!

I walk in and go straight to the rear of the store to pour myself a 20oz'er, then head for the news rack ... there are no papers on the shelves ... it's just before closing, so I assume they cleared them for the morning deliveries and the leftovers were sitting in some shopping cart somewhere, waiting to be counted for credit in the a.m. ...

When I get to the register, I ask the gal if they happened to have a copy of the New York Post ... she tells me there are quite a few in the back and she heads towards what, I assume, is "the back" ...

I wonder why it's taking her so long, I glance at the time on the register, and decide a sip of Joe would do a body good ... I start mentally going over my tah-do's and Christmas tah-buy's, and I suddenly realized I'm more than half way through my coffee ... I look at the register, it's been 10 minutes ... ??! ... I look towards "the back" ... there's no sound coming from "the back" ...

I panic for two seconds -- oh my gawd! a robbery! -- but I quickly dismiss that ... robbers don't usually play extended games of hide and seek with customers ... hmmm? where is she? ... maybe a really gross, sudden intestinal attack? ... I'll just leave ... I can't! I drank most of the coffee and haven't paid for it yet ... damn! ... hmmm? ... oh no! ... she died! ... that's it!  ... she went in "the back" and dropped dead ...

So now what? ... if I call the local police and tell them the stupid wench dropped dead on me, I'll be stuck filling out some witness report ... ugh! ... oh great! ... now I'm gonna be late ...

Well, I'm not a witness, am I? ... I haven't witnessed anything ... yet ... but I can see it now ... I'll be on the news on split screen ... the surveillance tape of me drinking coffee on one side -- la la la la laaaaaaa ... her on the other side -- somebody help me! ... then me walking out and some overly hairspray news'ho wondering outloud why I didn't feel it necessary to check on her ... ugh! ... oh smack! ... maybe she's not dead yet! maybe she needs help ...

Mmm ... I'm not the best person to help her, I make web sites, I work with computers ... I don't even fix computers ... what do I know about helping a dying chick?! ... and besides, every night I come in here, I always leave thinking she is in need of a serious shower ...

Okay, I guess I'll check on her ... I'll go into "the back" and call the police ... but what if she's just down, maybe dead, maybe alive ... how will I know what to tell the police?

Hey! I got it! I'll do the road kill thing ... I'll poke her in the eye with a stick, if she flinches, she's just wounded, so I'll shoot her in the head to put her out of her misery ... oh damn, bad idea! ... where am I going to find a stick in a convenience store?!

So with no real plan of action, I walk towards "the back" ... yo! ... this is a good idea! ... the news station can merge the screens now ... nice effect ... but I wish it was daytime, so I could be in a cool pair of shades on the news ...

Oh no ... there she was! ... worse than I ever expected!!!

Oh ... oh ... oh, the horror! ... I'm in shock ... total chills ...

The gal was rummaging through the recyclables looking for a newspaper ... she said, "Sorry, I'm taking so long, the Posts are on the bottom." ... oh ... my ... goodness ... the buttsmear was going to give me a paper she picked from the bottom of the friggin trash?! ... see! ... this is exactly why they don't have sticks in convenience stores!

I have sooo much to do, but I'm really getting into the Christmas spirit this year ... as always, I've started my repeat watching of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation ... I've added listening to Christmas music on Sirius ... I have already started my Christmas shopping, which usually doesn't commence until the 23rd ... plus, I've scheduled a day for making cookies and fattening goodies ... but! do me a favor, if I get so into Christmas that I start looking at holiday themed clothes -- please slap me!  ... if you happen to see me in holiday themed clothes, you have my permission to UFC my azz! lol!

Eggnog Latte
1 Tbsp instant coffee granules . 1/2 cup boiling water . 1/2 cup eggnog . dash ground nutmeg ... mix coffee with boiling water ... stir to dissolve well ... stir in eggnog and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Italian Holiday Butter Cookies
3 cups cake flour (sifted) . 1-cup butter or margarine . 1 1/2 cups confectionary sugar .
1 egg . 1 tsp salt . 2 tsp vanilla ... mix ingredients together ... shape in to 6" X 8" rectangle ... cut into 48 pieces ... press into cookie molds ... brush top with milk ... sprinkle top with colored sugar ... bake at 350 for 5 minutes.

Of course, this insomniac is not sleeping ... sooo while hubby and son are peacefully snoozing away, I'm watching King of Queens ... cuddled up with a cute new throw, new slippers and a hot cup of tea ... I'm relaxing because later, have big plans ... going to finish watching the King of Queens ... then shift my location to the bedroom ... I'll switch my beverage to ice water, play Pogo on the laptop while watching That 70s Show ... and if Mr Sandman doesn't show up too soon, I'll move on to an exciting two episodes of Married with Children ...

And, there's a huge smile on my face ... life has been treating me super fantabulous lately ... c'ya tomorrow!

I have a lot to be thankful for ... my kid is super healthy + cracks me up! ... hubby is super sexy + has the best laugh :) ... the side gig is cool ... biz is great ... there are plenty of me, me, me things I am working towards ... though I didn't get to cross off a few things on my tah-do list that I wish were completed already ... but! ... I'm not complaining, the universe treats me maaavelous <3

First ... please know that I don't pretend to know a dag gern thang about astrology and how to come up with all those predictions ... but! ... I am a bit of an astrology babe in a sense that I love to read astro events that are supposedly effecting me -have ya noticed how heavy and strong the kimceited factor runs thru my posts?! ;)

A couple of days ago, I was reading about that ever important monthly event -- the full moon -- the moon rocks! -bad puns are always intended-- while reading I skimmed to the words "escaping from a narrow destiny" ... I heard a kaaabooom! ... no silly, this was not an audible event, the cats didn't run in terror ... it was a mental "bingo!" -- the creation of my future new motto -show me my moto! ... okay, I gotta tweak it a bit, but it's a cool -geeky- concept in progress ... to escape from a narrow destiny ... nice.

Starting two Trenton2Philly community pages on LiveJournal + MySpace ... they are both brand new ... but if you're from the area, friend T2P ... please + thank you!

I tell people about SIRIUS all the time ... I'm like a walking commercial for them ... saawwrry for being annoying, but you know what it's like when you find something cool, you like to tell your *peeps* about it ... and because I love it, I want you to know that Sirius is have a free promo today ... the site says three days, their commercials say two days ... dunno ... go today and sign up ... you can listen to all the channels ... music, comedy, Howard, Playboy, Martha ... etc ... make sure you tell me your fav five channels :)

Yesterday I missed Howard's special free day show ... wanted to hear his half hour sitcom premier, but I was at the side-gig and it was a bit much, language wise, to have it playing with office folk walking around ... ya know ... it's a fine office to go to, so not offending them is a small concession  ;)

Time to marinate da dinner ... c'ya.

Went to the Body Art Ball with sis last eve ... she got an e-mail invite, it looked different, so we went ... I really wanted to like it ... and in a sick, twisted way I did ---it was wonderfully awful  :))

The Ball started off with a huge, unorganized cluster-bang which left the future audience standing on the side walk with bouncers walking up and down the lines screaming at us for a half hour before and an entire hour after the doors were supposed to open ...

Sis and I reverted to juvenile games ... ... ... long post, continued here.

Sirius addiction ...

Drove to my sis' last eve, the ride is 40 minutes each way ... and ... I left my Sirius radio at home ... aarrrgggghhhhh! ... big mistake ... I had to listen to regular, free radio ... kept flippin' and flippin' but only found ONE! song I liked during the entire trip there ... on the way back they wouldn't shut the f'expletive up so I just turned it off ... preferred silence over the yap yap yap ... horrible ... satellite radio will make FM a speck, just like FM did to AM ... Sirius'ly, you sure do get what you pay for, I'm spoiled now ...

Working on merging the board databases ... finally! ... yippie! ... this needed to be done weeks ago ... the board is going down for a few so I can get this done ... only a few hours ... it'll brb, then we can start to add this photos to the gallery, so to quote Martha ... it's a good thing :)
