I'm working on making
Trenton2Philly live! So excited! Been
tied-up with other things, but I'm getting 'un-tied' and I'm able to work
it! Nice! There will be all sorts of goodies for the locals ... more info
to come.
Teedster is fishing in
Florida's Gulf Coast today ... I love fishing, but, I am really pleased to
be getting all this work completed!

Paranormal Podcasts
Sunday, May 4th @ 2111hrs
Working my tush off while
Teedster is in Florida for Kev's wedding. I'm getting tons accomplished,
and I've had ghost
& UFO podcasts to keep me company ...
Right now I'm listening to
Darkness on the Edge of Town ... last night was alien chat ... I never saw
or experienced anything paranormal ... not sure I want to, doesn't seem to
cause anything but angst for some people ... but! I love the podcasts with people who have
had experience ...

Yesterday, I made
TeedHosting.com's new design live ...
well, it's new for Teed Hosting, but it's a total steal of Teedster's
site design :)
Now I need your help ...
if you have a moment, please go to
TeedHosting.com and check it for
clarity and type-o's ... you know when you look at text long enough, you
don't see even the big errors ... thank you for your time ...
Hey! Kevin and Barb get
married this weekend! Teedster is the best man ... it's in Ft Myers,
Florida ... so it's not in the part of Florida where it's a quick hour,
plus jump on a plane from here -it takes over three hours ... ??! ... they
are having a beach wedding -should be beautiful :)

It's Project Time
Wednesday, April 30th @ 0801hrs
You should see my tah-do
list! It's huge! I am working on a very cool
-geeky-
project all week!
The prep time for this
week's project has been amazing ... there's a huge amount of steps ... I
don't like to jump into a project until I list everything
-everything!-
that needs to be done ... planning always seems harder than the actual
'doing', but I find if I start doing before the list, I'll get stuck at
some point - "what do I do next?" and lose momentum ... so I grab a spiral
notebook and scribble everything in no particular order, just to get it all
out of my head ... keeping that notebook with me all the time, even next to
my bed for middle of the night yessss!'s ...
The whole time I'm
thinking the project backwards, "How to I get from there, back to here?"
... during the list process, it just seems easier to work backwards ... for
some reason those last tah-do's always seem so clear and easier to come up
with than the first tah-do's ...
Then I keep re-writing the
pages, trying to group & order things ... making sure every dinky step is
listed ... then once it's all down on paper, it's easy -easier- to fly
through the steps and attain large gains ... sooo, how do you manage your
large projects?
I'll be here, so feel free
to
instant messenger me a quick 'hello'
if you wanna :)

Random now junk: I'm

Pizza Place Analogy
Monday, April 14th @ 1535hrs
Here’s the pizza place
analogy I use to explain web sites to *regular* people, who are new to
web sites and confused by the three parts of having a site ...
Let's say you were going
to open up a 24 hour pizza place you would need a biz name ... like, BOB’S
PIZZA ... you would need a product, PIZZA PIES ... you need to rent space
for your business to operate out of, PIZZA SHOP
BOB’S PIZZA =
bobspizza.com; your
domain name
PIZZA PIES = your web site content
PIZZA SHOP =
TeedHosting
web site hosting ... so
Teed Hosting is an
e-landlord, of sorts :)
Hope that makes things a
bit clearer ... have a wonderful day!

Mo' Real Estate Games
Tuesday, March 25th @ 0825hrs
I
wrote before about how I hate, hate, hate real estate games -they just
never end ... people have been selling homes for many years now, you'd
think they'd have perfected the sale process ... just put a friggin'
sticker on the home, like a store, and let me buy a home ... realtors need to be cut out of the process, they really do ... here's the
latest soap opera ...
As you know, we have
been looking for a new home for 2+ years --we have very particular needs &
have finally found a home that meets our requirements, but
-it's real estate, there's always a 'but'.
Our realtor faxed our bid to the seller’s realtor late January - then the
seller's realtor became M.I.A. …
After a while, she finally answered, saying she never received the bid,
then advised the home is in foreclosure, three banks are involved, and it
has to be sold in a Short Sale … he told her we were fine with the longer
transaction period, & he faxed over a new copy of our bid …
After another lengthy period of no contact, he finally got through & asked
why she never returns his calls, etc … she became furious
-drama queenish-
said he was questioning her integrity, she spouted off her credentials, and
ended her call by saying she never heard back from the banker …
Sooo …
We tracked down the banker, who stated the home was not that far into
foreclosure … the transaction must go through the current owners … my
realtor has another call in to the seller's realtor ...
Wondering why this realtor would be playing games, I asked a couple local
people -we’re not from here- for an opinion on hiring her --everyone seemed
horrified we would consider her, all three recounted stories of hiring her
as their realtor, then suddenly the deal went bad, only to find out later
she bought the place herself … if it was a
my-cousin’s-best-friend’s-brother story, I may consider it was just one
incident that snow balled into local legend, but these people were saying,
“this happened to me” …
With a foreclose proceeding, this is time sensitive … two months have
passed, and we still have no clue if the seller even knows there’s a buyer
… with the stories I’ve heard, I’m wondering if she’s waiting to buy it
herself once the sellers are beyond desperate …
Frustrating, huh?! ... and yes, *I* am questioning her integrity ...
Thank you for reading this whine and have a maaavelous week! :)

Second Fave
Sunday, March 9th @ 0005hrs
This weekend's Supercross race in Daytona Beach, Florida
became my second favorite motocross race, ever
-even though I only saw it
on TV ... my all
time favorite motocross race was one of
Teedster's, on a track that was just like Dayton's
-mud soup ... the starting gate was completely
flooded, all the racers left the gate with their feet up on the bike's
fender ... mud races are impossible ... the riders can barely see anything, goggles don't help, their feet are slippery on the pegs, their hands are
slippery on the grips ... they see a puddle and don't know which way or how
deep the ruts are under the surface ... during that race we all stood in
the stands, in a down pour, cheering and laughing at the insanity of the
race ... you didn't know who was going to fall, whose bike was going to
bog-out, who would just get stuck ... mud roosts everywhere ... crazy fun!
... that race had another cool factor, the weather was sooo bad and they just
wanted to get racing over with, so they combined the amateurs with the pros
... Teedster was the first to get the checkered flag! Nice!
Let's use a
pizza place as an analogy; Kate & Al's Pizza (name), is in the Columbus
Market (place), and they sell yummie pizzas (content) ...
Domain name: You find your
perfect web site
domain name through
Teed Hosting ... currently, it costs $7.49 for a .com
and we're running a $1.99 special on .info names ... there are all sorts of extensions,
you just have to keep searching and fine the one that makes you happy ...
Web site host: All web sites
need a reliable home or office ...
Teed Hosting hosts all sorts of sites,
from small personal web sites to huge ones requiring dedicated servers ...
and
Teed Hosting techs will answer your
telephone calls, 24/7 ... and since businesses with overseas tech support
is one of my pet peeves, Teed Hosting techs are in the United States
--you'll understand them, they'll understand you!
As a site designer, I get paid to
make your web site's look fit your
personality, style, and image ...
Content: That's where your
goals for your web site come in ... photos, blog, store, articles, advice, et cetera ...
Hope that clears things up, if not
--just ask :)
Okay, it's time for quality TV surfing ... c'ya!

I've
been on-line a long time ... I can truly twist the *been there, done that*
to *been there, before they done that* ... it's rare I find someone I truly
wish to promote ... most people are some mixture of two/three other people
... but
Ester Goldberg is one of those rare hidden
gems who has actual talent and I believe she is worth some Kimmie
pimpin'time ...
I 'met' Ester
when I was doing research for
our radio show ... I listened to
1000's of podcasts
-most are like live aol chat rooms -ugh!-
but Ester's podcast was one of the rare shows I took notice of, I still try
to catch her show --she's funny, with a unique twist!
Ester
just sent out a bulletin advising everyone that she
changed her podcast show to a cam show ... a cam should prove a hilarious
addition
... watch
her this Sunday,
here.
